Life Insurance for Families

Life insurance for a family comes down to one question: if something happened to you, could the people who count on you stay in their home, keep their plans, and grieve without a financial crisis on top of it? We help families across Canada put the right amount of coverage in place, at a premium that fits the budget.

What It Protects

What families usually need to protect

The mortgage and other debts

So the house stays the family home, not a forced sale.

The income your family counts on

Groceries, utilities, cars, and the ordinary costs of life keep getting paid.

Child care and household help

The work a stay-at-home parent does has a real replacement cost. Coverage can pay for it.

Education and future plans

RESP goals and the plans you have for your kids do not have to end with you.

Final expenses

A funeral and the costs around it should not land on your family as a bill.

How Much Is Enough

How much coverage is enough?

There is no honest one-size number, and anyone who gives you one without asking questions is guessing. We add up what your family would actually need: the debts to clear, the income to replace and for how long, the child care and education costs ahead of you, and what you already have in place. Our life insurance calculator gives a sensible starting point, and we refine the number together.

Your Options

The coverage most families choose

Term Life Insurance

Where most families start. Coverage for a set number of years, usually 10 to 30, sized to the mortgage and the years your kids are at home. The lowest cost per dollar of coverage.

Permanent Life Insurance

Coverage that lasts your whole life, with premiums that never rise. Families use it for final expenses, estate planning, and leaving something behind on purpose.

A Combination

Many families hold both: a larger term policy for the high-need years, plus a smaller permanent policy that is guaranteed to be there at the end.

FAQ

Questions families ask us

Straight answers, no jargon.

When should a family buy life insurance?

The younger and healthier you are, the lower the premium, and it stays at that price for the whole term. Most families buy when a child arrives, a home is purchased, or one income becomes the one everyone depends on.

Should both parents have coverage?

Usually, yes. The income-earning parent needs coverage, and the parent at home does work that would cost real money to replace: child care, cooking, driving, and running the household. We size both policies honestly.

What if the budget is tight right now?

Start with term coverage sized to the biggest risks. Some protection in place beats a perfect plan that never starts, and we can adjust as your budget grows.
