Private Health Care & Testing
Private healthcare access for Canadians
We help Canadians gain access to private health care and insurance. The public system does many things well, but it was never built to cover everything, and the wait from a family doctor’s referral to treatment reached a median of about 30 weeks in 2024, according to the Fraser Institute. The options below are legal, available in Canada today, and used by thousands of Canadians who decided not to wait.

Your Options
Six ways in
Three of these get you care itself: insurance and clinics. Three are testing: answers about your heart, your cancer risk, and your medications that the public system does not routinely provide.
VUMI
International private medical insurance for people who do not want to wait. Fast access to leading hospitals and specialists in Canada and around the world, coverage up to $5,000,000 per person over a lifetime on individual plans, and a VIP second medical opinion from day one.
Medcan
Executive health care in Toronto: a comprehensive annual health assessment with same-day results, year-round care memberships, and physicians you can actually reach. Built for people who would rather catch problems early.
Cleveland Clinic Canada
The Toronto home of Cleveland Clinic, at Brookfield Place and in Midtown. A roughly five-hour executive health day with same-day results, and a year of Express Care Online included with a Toronto assessment.
Cleerly
Artificial intelligence analysis of a coronary CT scan that measures the plaque in your arteries, including the soft plaque that matters most. Stress tests measure blood flow. Cleerly measures the disease itself.
Galleri
One blood draw that screens for a signal shared by more than 50 types of cancer, including many with no screening test today. It also predicts where in the body the signal likely started.
Inagene
A Canadian pharmacogenomic test: one cheek swab shows how your body is likely to respond to more than 200 medications, so you and your doctor can choose drugs and doses with your DNA in hand.
How People Pay
How people pay for this
Most clients pay personally or through their corporation. Premiums for a plan like VUMI are paid to a private health services plan, and costs like these can qualify as eligible medical expenses for the medical expense tax credit, subject to the usual CRA rules. Health care spending accounts can reimburse several of these services when a benefits plan includes one. We will walk you through the route that fits your situation. We are not your accountant, and we will flag where theirs should weigh in.

Is private health care legal in Canada?
Yes. Everything on this page operates legally in Canada. The public system insures a defined set of services; private clinics, private testing, and private insurance for services and access outside that set are a long-standing, lawful part of Canadian health care. Roughly 29 percent of health spending in Canada is already private.
Is this queue jumping?
These services operate outside the public queue, in private clinics and through private insurance, using capacity the public system does not fund. Using them does not take a public spot from anyone.
Do I need to be wealthy to use any of this?
No. An Inagene test is a few hundred dollars, and VUMI plans start at levels many incorporated professionals find reasonable for the certainty they buy. The executive health days cost more. We will show you the full range honestly.
